As a part of Penn Government and Politics Association's China Week, Dr. Aaron Friedberg is coming to Penn to discuss US-China relations, their global and regional impacts, and the possibility of an American-Chinese War.
Dr. Aaron Friedberg currently serves Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University and as Co-Director of the Woodrow Wilson School’s Center for International Security Studies. A leading China scholar, Dr. Friedberg is a prominent voice in the arena of international security with scholarly emphases on historical great power relations and contemporary U.S.-China relations. Having served as the Deputy Assistant for National Security Affairs in the office of the Vice President from 2003 to 2005, he has also written articles appearing in publications ranging from The New York Times to International Security. The author of a broad corpus of literature on international security and U.S.-China relations, Dr. Friedberg’s recent publications include: "A Contest for Supremacy: China, America, and the Struggle for Mastery in Asia" (2011) and "Beyond Air-Sea Battle: The Debate Over U.S. Military Strategy in Asia" (2014).
This event is co-hosted by Penn's Government and Politics Association and The Center for Study of Contemporary China.
