Alex is a junior majoring in East Asian Languages and Civilizations with minors in Japanese and Chemistry. Originally from Boston, he is especially interested in the cultural and religious intersections within medicine and is currently researching the works of Shūsaku Endō for his capstone project. He hopes to continue this research during his study abroad in Kyoto the upcoming semester, and in the future make medicine and healing more accessible to people who may face language and cultural barriers.
