Bodies and Borders: Inclusion, Exclusion, and Excision in East Asia - Penn Graduate Conference on East Asia

- | Ben Franklin Room, Houston Hall (April 21) G16, Irvine Auditorium (April 22)

From the EALC Graduate Student Research Colloquium:

"We are pleased to announce “Bodies and Border: Inclusion, Exclusion, and Excision in East Asia,”the second annual graduate student conference on East Asia at the University of Pennsylvania, to be held on April 21 and April 22, 2018.
The conference is presented by the Graduate Student Research Colloquium of the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Penn. The event features presentations by graduate students from across the world which explore understandings of physical, literary, ideological, linguistic, cultural, and communal bodies and their borders in China, Korea, Japan, and Mongolia. It provides a venue for young scholars to share their current research projects with a broader scholarly community. The conference, which spans a day and half, is divided into six panels, one of which will feature undergraduates from Penn, and a keynote address from Dr. Hentyle Yapp of the NYU Tisch School of Arts.
Additional information may be found via the attached flyer and our conference website. If you plan to attend the conference, please remember to register on our website. We look forward to seeing you there!
