The University of Pennsylvania Graduate Student Research Colloquium in East Asian Studies is proud to announce that it will host its fifth annual graduate student conference on Saturday, April 16 from 9AM-6PM. The conference, titled Innovation, Fabrication, Conservation: Responding to the Past(s) of East Asian Cultures, will bring graduate students working in East Asian studies at Penn and institutions around the world together to showcase their research, exchange ideas and engage in stimulating debate. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. J. Keith Vincent, Associate Professor of Japanese literature at Boston University.

The event is open and free to the public. Light refreshments will be provided to attendants. We encourage all interested in East Asian history, politics, art, literature, and society to attend.
